Armani Spring/Summer 09 preview

So for those of you that don't know part of my job as a stylist and fashion coordinator is to go around to different designers and brands to view their collections a season in advanced so that it can be worked into the shoots I style in time. Today I bring youa sneak peak of some of the key Armani menswear peices for Spring/Sumer 09...

(They had a lot more but this is a selection of what I deemed worthy to grace my blog)

Now, this final piece is not menswear but you know I had to throw in at least one piece of jewelery.

I am loving the purple shorts and the single strapped dungarees.

Dear santa...

Christmas is fast approaching and this year I am not asking for much. All I want for Christmas is one of these...

That is it. I have left you with a substantial amount of time and it's not like you can't do anything because you are Santa Clause. I have been an awfully good boy this year and it would so make my eternity if you got me this.

Thank you

I'm Back!

So I know it's been a long time since my latest blog post. Believe me, I have wanted to post a new one but I have had to resist simply because I wanted to give everyone the oppertunity to to view my last two posts.

But fear not my darling buds of glamor for I am back now, and I think you'll be very proud of what I have been getting up to in my spare time.

First of all I have done gone and gotten myself an agent.

Check me out @ Luke Miley

Now the other thing I have been doing is a little P.R... Firstly over at Ruby Pseudo and also at TheNuBlack.

Go and check them out if you would like to know a little more about what makes this Glamorous mind tick.

I've had castings and I have obviously been working on the next issue of the mag too which should hopefully be out in November.

P.S
Check me out on the Teen Vogue Website. Damn straight I've been a busy bitch!

SUPERSUPER issue 13

DISTURBAN

So A few months ago I did a shoot for SUPERSUPER with the amazingly talented and just down right sexy Zach Burns. I turned him into a Glamorous Man and I know he is definitely loving what I did.

I also got to work with Akio who is the most amazing photographer and lighting technician I have ever known. Click Here for more of his work.

The idea behind the shoot is that the subject, Zach has entered an environment unknown to him. He is clearly not dressed for his "urban" surroundings which as a result has left him "Disturban". I could write a whole manifesto on the concept but I'll just let the images speak for themselves...

You'll notice the Swarovski studded motorcycle helmet is a very present force in the 3rd image. I think this shoot personifies my style as an individual. The day of this shoot I was feeling very very ill. By the middle of the day I was literally on the floor trying to keep myself together. The sweltering heat didn't help either. In all honesty, I can't complain too much because zach is the one who truly felt the full effects of the summer temperatures. Especially in all the clothes I put him in. It was all worth it in the end though. I'm very proud of what we achieved.

You can buy SUPERSUPER from all good news agents but not from any bad ones. You can also order it online HERE. Maybe even buy a subscription.

P.S
Some of the clothes are creased but you cant see them because it's too dark!

Another Glamorous Man (and I got to work with him)

So I come to you with another installment of The Glamorous Man. This time around I bring you Mr Pharrell Williams. Oh, and before you ask I did get to do a shoot with him for SUPERSUPER. I don't really need to talk about his personified mode because everybody already knows that he has it on P.O.I.N.T (sorry, I'm watching Bring It On)

Even though many months have passed I still remember the shoot like it was only 10 minutes ago.
After a morning full of dramas, we went to his hotel room where we set up a mini studio to do the shoot and interview. After about 4 hours there was a knock at the door. There stood 3 people one of which looked a little bit like Pharrell I said quietly as I turned away.
Make no mistake, I snapped my head back so fast it almost fell off. It was him in all his fabulous glory. My body began to shake as I struggled to contain the scream that I had already slightly begun to let out.

The way he answered the questions in the interview was so inspiring. His mindset is totally amazing. He truely is a Glamorous Man.

I also got my guy Raphaël D'Ascenzo to model too. I met him on a shoot a few months ago. We were both modeling for New Era and I just thought he was amazing at it. There was no way I wasn't gonna use him for the magazine.

For the full interview you need to go and purchase your own copy. You can buy one from all good news agents but not from any of the bad ones. You can also order it online HERE. Maybe even buy a subscription.

BUY A FUCKING SUBSCRIPTION!

Photographic Leagends (who aren't called David LaChapelle) pt1

His name is Rick Day. He is based in New York.

If money wasn't an issue I would send a jet to pick him up and fly him over here just so that I could work with him. Rick day has a distinctive style of photography that truly does inspire. Every image he creates is so perfectly composed as though each shot were an individual work of art. From the razor sharp styling to the perfectly cast models there are no faults to be found.

Just see for yourself...

(I've featured the boiler suit below in issues 12 and 13 of SUPERSUPER;-)

I would jump like a rabid dog at any opportunity to work with such an amazing photographer. His style would be a perfect fit for the Glamorous Man aesthetic. Click Here to see more of his work.

P.S
I love his work so much that I often use it as a reference and inspiration for my own.

Nintendo DSi

There's a new Nintendo DS coming to town and I think I will definitely be getting one.

It's called the DSi and is going to feature 2 cameras. It will also be smaller and lighter.

I think It's safe to assume that the front facing camera will be used for games that impliment facial recognition and possibly for video chatting. Perfect for all those internet whores who want to get their groooove on ;P

They must have been thinking of me...

Short and sweet will be the nature of this post.

Jeremy Scott and Adidas have had a baby.

"What I Saw Today"...The blog of another man

So very rarely will I take it upon myself to write about another blog, usually if I like a blog I'll just put a link to it in my sidebar. Well today I have coma across something that I must write about.

What I Saw Today Is similar to your regular street style or trend spotting blogs in a sense that there are pictures of people in their chosen attires and in various locations, quite similar in layout to the ever popular The Sartorialist blog. Nothing original there one might say however what I failed to mention is that these images are not photographs like you would find on other sites and blogs.

They are sketches!

I think the reason I truley love this blog may have something to do with the fact that I can't draw. It is a shamefull fact for someone who works in fashion but it's true. So to see originality of this level and in this format is so genuinely refreshing.

He is a talented New Yorker whos' blog I hope will be around for a long time.

Something I stumbled upon...

This is old news. Very old news, but I don't care.

A few years ago Bentley were rumored to be producing an SUV to rival the Porsche Cyan.

If I am truley honest, I hope they don't go through with it. I think it's ugly, a revelation I find quite shocking in itself because I usually love Bentley.

Orgasmic Motors

I've always been a fan of Lamborghini but I was never really fond of the idea of owning one simply because owning one means I would have to learn to drive (the small fact of £££ may also play a small part in my deterrence). This issue has now become a thing of the past.

This years the Paris Motor Show saw the official unveiling of the Lamborghini Estoque 4-door Concept. It has been designed for everyday use with seating for 4 adults and a boot, which is just perfect for that Samsonite trunk. The price is expected to be around £100 000 (which is less than a Bentley Flying Spur).

I won't bore you (or myself) with the techinical details. All that matters is this:
It looks hot!
and
I can employ a chauffeur without looking like I'm in a car that's not mine!

P.S
Estoque is the name of the short sword that matadors use when fighting bulls. A nice little reference to their logo.

I must warn you...

In the shoot that I styled for the next issue of SUPERSUPER this makes an appearance...

Yes that is a motorcycle helmet coverd in Swarovski crystals.
Yes it is worth £3000.
Yes I did have to sign a form saying that I will give my left arm, right leg, 4 fingers of my choosing and some hair should anything happen to it.

Brace yourselves. It's gonna be major!
