Excuse me Prada...

I don't really have much to say about this other than

I AM OFFENDED!

I am usually happy to ignore when fashion houses make mistakes but this is just rude! For a company that of recent times has been in a bit of a state financially they can't afford to be taking these kinds of risks.

These shoes are an abomination!

That is all...

Modern Traditionalist

I am 20 years old. In the 20 years of my existence I have witnessed the evolution of menswear in the same way that anybody else would. I have come to realize though that in the past decade or so the rate at which menswear is evolving seems to have been sped up. I blame my generation for this but it is not necessarily a bad thing. What is a bad thing however is this...

Can you imagine walking into a shop to purchase a double breasted suit Jacket only to find that the one you have picked up seems to have a substantial amount of buttons missing? And as you hastily search for another it then dawns on you that they all have missing buttons? It would be devastating. You would have to look elsewhere would you not? The problem is, this doesn't appear to be a mistake. Not only does this appear to be intentional but it's a trend that seems to have followed through to the likes of Alexander McQueen and Prada. Even Lanvin is in on it. Quite frankly I am disappointed.

Since 2004 I noticed that the mens suit jacket was gradually loosing its buttons and I was all for it to begin with but I really do believe this to be a step to far. Honestly speaking, this is the nicest example of such sartorial abominations. This suit by Gianfranco Ferré as you can see is extremely well cut, almost like a diamond but unfortunately it's not flawless. There is just no point.

I take pride in the fact that my background is in tailoring however I am a little embarrassed to be associated with a generation that insists on defiling menswear in such a maner. Don't get me wrong, the first single button suit jacket I ever saw was from Dolce & Gabbana and it completely changed the way I viewed menswear. It was glamorous and yet still masculine, it was young and fresh but still to be taken seriously. My eyes were opened to a new silhouette, one that I would swear by even to this day but honestly I don't think I will be embracing this new style quite as openly.

I'm sure the single buttoned suit was greeted with exactly the same hostility when it first arrived but only time will tell weather this new shape will be as successful.

P.S
Here's what a real suit jacket should look like...

The wait is over...

NEWS FLASH!!!!!

What you are about to see is the fashion equivalent of a black American president. Too many times has menswear suffered discrimination in the fashion industry and I have always felt strongly about this subject however next season we will be one step closer to sartorial equality for next season see the release of the Christian Louboutin menswear collection.

No this is not a hoax...

All I can really think to say is "About fucking time". In all honesty I can't wait. Let's be real, if the mens collect is even half as good as what the women get it'll still be pretty amazing.

A quote I found today...

They told me to stop this spoilt brat bullshit and just learn to drive. I said, there's no point. I wouldn't be seen dead in the drivers side of an Arnage.

An official Niyi Crown quote.

Oh Mr Crown...

Check it out. Me in a Basso & Brooke coat outside a Uniqlo party last year.

The image was featured on the Street Peeper website. Some of the comments are absolutely hilarious. The way I see it is; as long as I exercise the right to wear what I want, others should feel free to exercise their right to say what they want (not a single one of them is paying my bills so why should I give a damn).

The best comment by far is the one from Raluca I nearly died with reading it. Check out her blog if you're up for a good laugh.

I may suffer eternal damnation but it needs to be said.

So it's offical; I am offically over Kanye West.

Blasphemy?

Yes!

I will probably burn in the fiery pits of hell but I don't care. I was one of his biggest fans this side of the Northern Hemisphere however his recent behaviour has left my soul so very vexed.

Firstly, we have those down right nasty Louis Vuitton trainers he supposedly designed.

I need someone to please tell me what the hell he was playing at. Why would anyone want a pair of these over the Stephen Sprouse Hi-Tops? There's nothing special about this red shoe at all. Louis Vuitton could have made it without the help of Kanye so why on earth are people flipping out like it's the best thing since the Chanel Pump Fury?

The other problem I have with Mr West is his current album.

Why oh Why Kanye? Why would you do this to me? I don't want to hear about how some bitch was cruel to you and how your heart is broken. I don't want to hear about that at all. What happened to the arrogant bastard that was? You were like my inner narcissist but now you're just sad. Your pathetic whining is enough for me to drive a rusty nail into my ear and enjoy the sounds of my own dripping blood.

I would like to mention those awfull glasses. I know you know the ones I'm talking about.

Disgusting! The were an abomination! I'm glad the trand/madness has passed but the fact that they even exhisted is enough to cause me offence.

And finaly I would like to discuss his recent sartiorial transmogrification.

The reason I loved him is because he didn't need to wear a suit to look dapper. He was fly without a notch lapel. He cold look smart without a spread collared dress shirt. What the hell is his problem? Why is his style so forced and contrived now? It's insulting.

I truely am saddened by the fact that I have had to say these things but I really am upset that my idol has literally gone off the rails. The man is actually insane and I don't know if there is anything we can do to save him. I think we should just pray. We need some sort of divine intervention from the heavens above to restore to us the Kanye that once was.

I'm just waiting for the return of the leagend. I'm waiting for the King to reclaim his throne!

R.I.P my love for Mr West.

That boy is so sexy; NO HOMO!

Ok so I do not by any means profess to be some sort of cultural expert nor do I claim to have the tightest grasp on modern day slang. I no long stay true to my "Rude Boi" roots. I no longer wear my Nike jogging bottoms down by my knees. I no longer "Draw chicks on a reg's". I no longer "Rep my Endz" like I used to. I no longer keep my "shank" in my left sock and I do not find myself in a position where I need to "Hold it down" so please forgive me if I am being a little rash when I say something has gone seriously wrong.

I just don't understand it when a lot of these boys use the phrase "No Homo" at the end of a scentance. I know exactly what it means but I wonder, is it truly necessary.

Sombody was talking to me and they decided to use the phrase during the conversation and it mad me think the following:

"I don't recall questioning your sexuality at any point in this conversation so why have you brought it up? I don't remember calling you gay either so why do you feel the need to deny something that you have not even been acused of?"

This is my conclusion. If you feel to deny something that you have not been accused of it is clearly because you have a guilty consience. In the same way, if you feel to proclaim "No Homo" it must be because you are sure that somebody will think that you are gay. It's like you're trying to convince yourself that the thoughts you are having don't mean anything. I'm not referring to sexual thoughts either. When you speak if the only thing in your subconscious mind is to deny homosexuality then surely something is up. It's like your using "No Homo" as an excuse to do and say anything that would under normal circumstances constitute homosexuality which in my oppinion is the gayest thing one can do.

Anyway I'm not gonna go on to much about these faggots that need to come out of the closet. Here are some videos that I need you to watch. These videos will help to explain my point a lot better than I have done...

This next one is a little longer but it is so funny...

P.S
It kinda makes you think about all the huge rappers out there that use the phrase on a regular basis.

No Homo!

The Final Response

So I am leaving my response to that anonymous persons latest comment.

"U know what u can say what u want about me, its cool. i only made the initial comments as a way of you bein able to better yourself, u took in the wrong context, thats your bussiness. Its obviously reallllllly got under your skin for you to have taken 9 minutes out of your obviously BUSY life to record a video blog bout me. so ill put an end to this rubbish right now. lol. cos to be honest i really havent got the time for this shit! but may i just point out one little thing.......funny how NOBODY commented your blog until all of this stupid drama isnt it......10 comments....wow. i must just be fascinating....and you.....well....hmmm.
Mr Anonymous.
P.S if that person was serious about making the tshirts....... Your great!"

First of all, Like I said in the video response, I have plenty of time on my hands. For someone who is so established you seem to have a little too much considering that you keep on reading my blogs and responding. When you say you haven't got time for this shit I assume it's because Russian Vogue has just called you to do some more work. You make the point that nobody commented on my blog before you came along and that is partially true but you can't take all the credit because if you take note you'll see that the blog has only been active for less than a week. I'm not expecting it to suddenly explode with comments. I think that maybe you should go and continue with your "10 Years" in the industry and just leave me to do my thing.

This is going to be my last response to this person simply because as fun as it has been, It is starting to get a little boring. I don't want the whole blog to be about this argument, I do actually have other things to blog about. Unless of course MTV want to do a reality T.V show on our little feud. Then that T-Shirt idea would really be handy for merchandising and all that jazz.

"Nobody Likes a Bitch" - So I guess that means you have no friends!?

I have decided to respond to that Anonymous retard (I know you know the one) in video. I think I managed to get my point across clearly. Lets see if he/she/it is stupid enough to respond to this.

P.S
My apologies for the crap quality. I was using my phone to do this.

"I'm not hating"- Really?

O.K I think I need to let you guys in on a little fact about me. I'm all for constructive criticism however don't patronize me. I am far from stupid and I will blast you if need be. This is a comment that someone left on one of my "SUPERSUPER issue 12" blog....

"Not hating at all. i actually like the shoot alot. but im also a stylist and just have to ask.....why didnt you steam the clothes first??? there are bare creases in the garments. im suprised they chose to run the shots at all if im honest. Its just a bit sloppy. but as i said, i like some of the images on a whole. keep it up. just a bit of constructive criticism i spose....."

I would like to start this blast by saying, I'm the fashion coordinator of the magazine. Why would you be surprised that they printed my shoot. It's not like I have to submit it to a magazine that I have no affiliations with. I work there for goodness sake.

My second point is this. If you were not hating, you wouldn't have posted the comment as anonymous. You would have happily left your name because as far as you are concerned there isn't going to be any hard feelings because your criticism is constructive and purely innocent.

My next point is that you mention in your comment the fact that you are a stylist. So what? Does this then qualify you to critique my work as though you are better than me? I don't mind being criticized but it only makes sense if your work is better than mine. Prove to me that your shit's got it all going on and that I should be grateful that you are blessing me with your words of wisdom. I don't know you so I'm not in a position to say that my work is better than yours. However, I have a permanent outlet for my styling to be published. I'm pretty sure you don't. I have the position that you want. I bet you wish you could do a shoot and be 95% certain that it's going to get used.

Constructive criticism is positive but if we read your comment I think you got a little carried away with the insulting.

"im suprised they chose to run the shots at all if im honest. Its just a bit sloppy"

Hmm. Who is going to read that and think, yes this person really is looking out for me?

And lastly I would like to justify the creases. I just didn't have access to a steamer. I work for SUPERSUPER. Have you not seen our editorials? Nobody ever steams their clothes. It's one of the few constants in the magazine that can be guaranteed.

Thanks for the comment though. I like a bit of controversy. It keeps me going when my adrenaline levels are low.

P.S

Get you grammar on lock down before you wanna criticize me. You never heard of spell check?

Vogue Italia: The Black Issue Scam!

I am livid.

As I type I am trying to ensure that my words make sense. I am trying to ensure that the rage does not totally consume me from within. I am trying to ensure that I don't just throw this already battered laptop down to the ground and scream until my lungs explode. My body is shaking with rage. My soul burns with the fury of a thousand suns. Now let me tell you why...

Vogue Italia has recently released it's All Black issue in which all the models they used in their fashion editorial shoots are black. Rumor has it that when they were deciding on weather or not to go ahead with the issue they concluded that "It'll be our worst selling issue yet" or words to that effect.

Will I be making purchase of this issue of Vogue?

HELL TO DA MOTHA FUCKIN NO!!!

Here's why...When a company issues a "leaked" statement saying "this edition of our product will be our worst selling aver because we only made it so that we can appeal to a minority group" we all know that it will instantly sell very well. It's like when that chick at school said "I'm so ugly that's why nobody wants to be my friend", what she actually wanted was for someone to turn around and tell her that she was really pretty and 9/10 times it worked. In the same way, Vogue Italia has said "leaked" this statement in order to rattle the cages of the unaware and easily influenced. They know that the minute they insult something that they have aimed at the black minority everyone will instantly say "let's prove them wrong, let's show them that it will be the best selling issue ever. Let's all go out and buy it and show them that we are strong and united as a people" and by doing so we have played directly into their hands. It was all part of the plan from the beginning. Did anybody stop to think where, why and how this statement was "leaked"? like I said it was all part of the plan from the very beginning. In big corporations like Vogue, things don't just "leak" out. It's called P.R for a reason and somebody at Vogue is very good at it.

Like the saying goes, "All press is good press"

Just because I'm black doesn't make me stupid. Yes I need to show support for my own kind as such but I'm not going to be emotionally blackmailed into doing it.

I'm not saying don't go and out and buy the magazine however please don't let the reason for your purchase be based on the manipulation and scam. Be smart people.

P.S

You'll see that throughout my whole rant I haven't used "I can't read Italian" as an excuses because I can. I just can't speak it or write it.
