J'adore Dior

Look at this!!!!


When I came across these I didn't know what to do with myself. I'm not really sure what to say. I feel like Dior is just making a mockery of my pennyless state. I'm seeing stones of Jade, opal, Obsidian and Quartz that have been carved into skulls and then embezzled with diamonds and pearls in the most regal of manners. A quote taken from Vogue France says "As we are temporary the jewels we wear last through time and centuries". This isn't the first time I've been amazed by Dior Joaillerie however this collection entitled 'Kings and Queens' by Victioire de Castellane has actually brought a tear to my eye.

Return of The Crown

Ladies and gentlemen I feel as though I owe you all an apology. For the past few months I have not been fulfilling my duties to you as an advocate of glamour. I can imagine you are all probably unimpressed with my lack of updates and for this I am truely sorry.

But fear not for I am back. After a journey of self discovery I have returned and I promise you, the next time I decide to go on hiatus, I will let you all know.

I bet you're wondering what I've been up to all this time. Patience my dear disciples, I'll let you know over the next few posts. In the mean time I would like to introduce you to a dear friend of mine.

Yeah I know there's some womenswear in there. I tried to slip it in without anyone noticing but it just wasn't gonna happen. The truth is that I have opened up my spectrum of work to the fairer sex. Why? Because the money is fucking great! That's why!

I was styling from the dot!

This is the first thing I ever did as a stylist. I worked with photographer Ian Cole almost 2 years ago and to this day it stands as one of my proudest pieces of work.

Are You Part New Era?

Around this time last year I was on a shoot for New Era the ever popular cap brand. I was on the shoot not as a stylist but as a model for their newly launched SS 09 apparel look book.

It was a wicked day of shooting, I had a serious amount of fun. The shoot did run on for a very long time but I made some good friends on the day so it was well worth it (And I was being paid). You may have noticed in the group shots my guy Raphaël D'Ascenzo working his stuff too.

There is a huge poster of the group shot in the New Era flagship store and the only reason I go in there is to look at it. My picture is even on some promotional postcards in the store. Make no mistake, I have 20. I think I may use them for sigining autographs...

Oh Mr Crown...

The image was featured on the Street Peeper website. Some of the comments are absolutely hilarious. The way I see it is; as long as I exercise the right to wear what I want, others should feel free to exercise their right to say what they want (not a single one of them is paying my bills so why should I give a damn).

The best comment by far is the one from Raluca I nearly died with reading it. Check out her blog if you're up for a good laugh.

RWD February 09

I should have posted this ages ago but I have been a bit busy of late so I apologize for the tardiness. Back in January I styled and directed the fashion shoot for the February issue of London based music magazine RWD (pronounced rewind in case you don't know). It was an honour to have been asked to get involved as this issue was their fashion special (to coincide with London Fashion Week) featuring the likes of Cassette Playa, Jourdan Dunn, Lady GaGa, Daisuke Sakaguchi (a blog about him is soon to come) and plenty of other familiar names and faces.

I was given a simple brief to interpret in any way I saw fit; Snow Sports, so I flew the whole team to one place that I knew the magical white stuff was guaranteed at that time of year. Moscow. O.K so that's a lie, the furthest I had to travel for the snow was to Hamleys on Oxford street but it really does pass for the real thing.

Fancy footwork pt2

I only own 2 pairs of K-Swiss trainers, both of them are white and both of them are limited editions.

As you can see both pairs are quite dirty and a little battered but that's because I wear them both on a regular basis. Just because I can't replace them doesn't mean I'm not going to wear them.

I love bags. It's a fact. I know you know it and I'm never gonna deny it. The one problem I have is the fact that I literally have no money. As in, if I open my wallet now I will see the same 3 pennies that have been there for the past month. What pains me even more is when I see items like these. The St Tropez Cabin bag by Aspinal of London is absolutely stunning. It's that purple Moc Crock Calf Leather that has literally got me drooling.

I know it aint no Swag Bag but I'll take it!

Aspinal of London are known for the quality of their products. You would be forgiven for thinking that as a brand they had been around for at least 150 years however this is not the case. Aspinal of London is a fairly new company. They've only been around for about 6 years but they have somehow managed to capture the true essence of English heritage in every single one of their products. They seem to ooze luxury from every possible angle it makes me want to cry.


The perfect accessory to compliment that bag would be these cobalt blue Fingerless Driving Gloves. I don't really want to talk about them because I feel that my words are really unnecessary but they are made from the softest Italian Nappa Leather so you can just imagine how great they feel and they only cost £79.
It's good to see genuine luxury at prices that are aspirational but not outrageous. I hate it when products are priced because of their label as opposed to the quality of the item and the time spent on it's production.

Bag it up!

I'm in the market for a new bag and as much as it doesn't quite compare to the Swag Bag this bag from Longchamp is still a hot piece.

It's a modern twist on a timeless classic. Longchamp are always able to appeal to a multitude of generations and this most certainly appeals to me, especially when it only costs £180.

It's totally worth the pennies.

Desiel ss 09

Diesel advertising campaigns are always pretty cool but this has got to be my favourite.

It's a current one so you've probably seen it around. It's a wicked image in bothe senses of the word. Sexualy charged fetishism meets edgy street styling . It's almost on a Tom Ford level. I also love the fact that they used Jon Kortajarena who ironicaly was a star in many of Tom Fords previous campaigns. Jon is undeniable hot. I don't care who you are or what your type of guy is. Hell you could even be a hetrosexual male, I don't give a shit, I know that you know Jon is dangerously hot. In fact, he might just be the fire that makes things hot.

To cut an unnecessarily long story short, that photo is the hotness.

Runway Divas unite...

I was so unimpressed with London Fashion Week this season that I totally forgot to mention the fact that I was modeling. I had to dust off my crown to rock the runway, bare chest and all.

I loved the collection by Komakino, if I didn't I wouldn't have agreed to model it. It's pretty Gothic, pretty dark but I love it none the less.
